Who do we represent?

Members of the BHMA include companies involved in the manufacture or supply of herbal medicines, herbal practitioners, academics, regulatory consultants, pharmacists, students of phytotherapy and others. The BHMA has supported these members with advice and comments on legislation and labelling from the beginning.

Benefits of BHMA Membership include:

  • Annual BHMA Membership certificate

  • BHMA Post – a quarterly newsletter with detailed articles on the many aspects of current and forthcoming herbal medicine legislation and other aspects of herbal medicine

  • BHMA membership entitles you to discounted prices on all BHMA publications

  • BHMA Directors attend meetings with the MHRA and we have representatives in ESCOP. This means that we are able to give members the most up to date information and ensure that the rights of people with interests in herbal medicine are supported and protected. 

  • Members receive discounted Code Administrator fees: £50 instead of £85.00

  • Free copy of the ‘Guide to Traditional Herbal Medicines 2003’ for all new members
